About SHIS 2025

The Singapore Halal International Seminar 2025 ("SHIS 2025") is organised by Majlis Ugama Islam Singapura ("MUIS"), the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore. As a statutory board under the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth, MUIS administers Muslim affairs and regulates the Halal certification system in Singapore.

SHIS 2025 marks a pivotal moment in global Halal certification governance. This strategic gathering unveils Singapore's enhanced Foreign Halal Certification Bodies (FHCB) recognition framework, following significant amendments to the Administration of Muslim Law Act (AMLA).

As a premier platform for international Halal certification bodies and industry leaders, SHIS 2025 focuses on strengthening international partnerships, demonstrating Singapore's robust Halal certification ecosystem, and fostering knowledge exchange in Halal development.

With current FHCB recognition concluding on 31 January 2026, this seminar introduces transformative frameworks governing MUIS recognition of private FHCBs, ensuring seamless continuation of imported Halal food supply to Singapore.
