Who can attend SHIS 2025?

SHIS 2025 is exclusively open to:

  • Currently recognised Foreign Halal Certification Bodies (FHCBs)
  • FHCBs interested in applying for recognition

Halal consultants and other parties are not eligible to attend.

Is attendance mandatory?

Yes. Attendance is mandatory for all FHCBs as part of recognition requirements. Non-compliance may affect your FHCB renewal recognition application.

How many representatives can each FHCB send?

Each FHCB must send exactly two (2) representatives:

  • One representative from management
  • One representative from syariah / technical committee

What is the current FHCB recognition period?

The current recognition period has been extended to 31 January 2026.

Why is attendance at SHIS 2025 important for recognition?

SHIS 2025 is crucial as it introduces the enhanced FHCB recognition framework that will be implemented after 31 January 2026. Understanding these changes is essential for continued recognition.

When should I submit my FHCB application?

Although the recognition period for current FHCBs extends to 31 January 2026, we strongly encourage early submission of applications. This ensures adequate processing time and prevents potential disruptions to certification services.

What is the registration fee?

The registration fee is SGD$400 per pax.

Is the registration fee refundable?

No, the registration fee is non-refundable.

What if one of our representatives cannot attend?

If a representative is unable to attend:

  • The FHCB may arrange for another personnel from the same division to attend
  • The substitution must be communicated to the organisers in advance
  • The replacement must be from the same division (Shariah or technical) as the original representative

Can we send different representatives on different days?

No, the same representatives must attend both days of the seminar to ensure continuity and complete understanding of the programme.

Do both representatives need to attend all sessions?

Yes, full attendance for both days is required for both representatives to fulfil the recognition requirements.

What happens if we don't send representatives from the management and shariah/technical committee?

It is strongly encouraged for Foreign Halal Certification Bodies to send two representatives to the Seminar, as this will enable them to better understand the new framework and experience a first-hand demonstration of the system. Partial or non-attendance may affect your FHCB renewal recognition application.
